School mediation
It was the outcome of the success of Community mediation in USA. It started in the 80s and now is part of curriculum as peer mediation in many thousand schools in America and elsewhere.
The scope was to reduce the violence in schools through the education in peaceful conflict resolution and mediation starting from the staff and going to the students. Also groups of students are trained to act as mediators among their peers. This was proven successful and recent statistics speak of up to 70% reduction of violence in schools that have included such programs in their curriculum.
We have forwarded a pilot project to the Ministry of Education without favorable response so far.
